Germany launched their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a resounding 7-1 triumph against minnows Curacao in Group E.

The match saw a dominant performance from the German squad, with goals from Kai Havertz (2), Felix Nmecha, Nico Schlotterbeck, Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown, and Deniz Undav sealing a comfortable victory.

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring early in the first half, assisted by a brilliant pass from Florian Wirtz. However, Curacao managed to pull off a surprise equalizer through Livano Comenencia, briefly levelling the score.

Germany swiftly reasserted their dominance. Nico Schlotterbeck headed home the go-ahead goal from a cross delivered by Nathaniel Brown. Kai Havertz then extended the lead from the penalty spot before the halftime whistle.
