Erling Haaland's Real Madrid Transfer: Father's Comments Addressed by Fabrizio Romano

Speculation regarding a potential summer transfer for Manchester City star Erling Haaland to Real Madrid has been put to rest by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, had recently fueled transfer rumors by suggesting that his son, while content at Manchester City with a long-term contract, would consider a move to a club like Real Madrid.

"Anyone would want to play for Madrid," Alf-Inge Haaland remarked, hinting at a possible future ambition for his son. This statement, however, has been clarified by Romano.

Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, confirmed that while a future move to Real Madrid isn't entirely out of the question for Haaland himself, it is definitively not on the cards for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Romano stressed that any such move would be a consideration for the distant future, specifically stating it's "not in the summer 2026." This clarifies that immediate transfer speculation is unfounded.

Erling Haaland is currently an integral part of Manchester City's squad under their new manager, Enzo Maresca. His commitment to the club is further underscored by his contract, which extends until 2034.

Haaland's immediate focus remains firmly on achieving success with Manchester City. He also has his sights set on performing well for the Norwegian national team, especially after his impressive performances in the recent World Cup.

Therefore, despite the intriguing comments from his father, the current reality is that Erling Haaland will remain a Manchester City player for the foreseeable future, with no immediate plans to join Real Madrid.
