Liverpool Intensifies Pursuit of German Wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn

Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their efforts to secure the signing of Kennet Eichhorn, a prodigious 16-year-old midfielder from Hertha BSC.

Considered one of Germany's most promising young talents, Eichhorn has attracted significant attention from top clubs across Europe.

Fresh negotiations have reportedly occurred, with Liverpool aiming to gain an advantage over competitors who are finding the financial aspects of the transfer challenging.

Premier League clubs are understood to be prepared to meet a valuation in the region of €20 million for the young midfielder.

However, German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have reportedly scaled back their pursuit due to the considerable signing-on fee being demanded.

Due to Brexit regulations, Eichhorn is ineligible to play in England until he reaches the age of 18. This has led Liverpool to consider loan-back arrangements, possibly with Bayer Leverkusen, a tactic previously employed by Manchester City.

Hertha Berlin's release clause, set at a maximum of €12 million, is set to expire in June, creating a sense of urgency for interested parties to finalize a deal.

The ongoing interest from Manchester City and various Bundesliga clubs ensures that the race to acquire Eichhorn's signature remains fiercely contested and far from decided.
