Roberto Carlos: Messi Could Play Until 2030 World Cup; Neymar Still Crucial for Brazil

Real Madrid icon Roberto Carlos has expressed his belief that Lionel Messi has the capability to continue playing for Argentina until the 2030 World Cup.

Carlos, a legendary figure in football, cited Messi's exceptional quality and unwavering dedication as key factors that could allow him to extend his international career well beyond the 2026 World Cup.

The former Brazil star lauded Messi's professionalism and commitment to his physical fitness, suggesting that the Inter Miami forward's current form and dedication make another World Cup appearance a realistic prospect.

"He has the quality, he has the dedication," Carlos remarked about Messi's longevity.

Beyond his thoughts on Messi, Carlos also shared his perspective on Neymar's current standing with the Brazilian national team. He acknowledged the challenges Neymar has faced with injuries recently.

However, Carlos emphasized that even with fitness concerns, Neymar remains a vital asset for the Selecao, contributing significantly to the team's dynamic, even when not on the field.

"His presence alone benefits Brazil," Carlos stated, highlighting Neymar's impact. "And if he is fit, he is still a spectacle on the pitch."

Both Argentina and Brazil are in the midst of their preparations for their upcoming World Cup qualifying campaigns, with crucial group stage matches slated for June.
